DISLOCATED WORKER PROGRAM
The Dislocated Worker Program is a state-wide program that offers a range of services to workers laid off through no fault of their own (or have been notified from their employer that a layoff is coming) and who are eligible to receive unemployment insurance benefits. A worker must meet both requirements to enroll in the program. There is no program fee for individuals or charges to employers for any services. The government provides a grant to fund the services administered through the Dislocated Worker Program.
The goal of the Dislocated Worker Program is for workers to find suitable employment at comparable wages with minimal disruption to their lives. We offer an assortment of monthly workshops to help you conduct an effective job search. Dislocated Workers can attend as many workshops as they are interested in. We also hold quarterly special events on various topics of interest to our participants.

GETTING STARTED
Program participation begins with attending an enrollment session to learn more about the program and complete the necessary paperwork. See more about program services here. See our calendar for information about our next registration session. The next step is meeting one-on-one with your counselor. With the help of your counselor, you will define an employment goal and develop an action plan to get you there. We can help you with job search activities, résumé writing, interview practice, and getting the training you need to become re-employed. We offer valuable monthly workshops on a range of job search topics, and often hold special events to present in-depth information on specific topics that are relevant to today's job search.
Your counselor will work with you every step of the way, providing knowledgeable assistance, encouragement, and caring support through your transition.
